If it bothers you... then no theres nothing you can do to stop the secondary vote publically seering someone No, no, I'm perfectly happy with the system as is. As another question, though; if we kill someone and they survive, will they be publically outed? Or is this going to be one of those "you have to find out for yourselves" clarifications? No. Publically outing survivors is a mechanic of the secondary vote kill, not guards/surviving in general

Talking to Alegis on IRC - he plans on using the secondary vote to confirm guards, and keep mafia roleblockers busy if they want to prevent the public seering.

Is it a good idea to 'establish' who I am with Alegis now?

<Burn> Want me to guard you tonight in Half-Life? <Alegis> Yep. There seem to be several guards but you're most trustworthy <Alegis> there's also a death guard, it seems <Burn> A death guard? What does that do? <Alegis> well, a bodyguard <Burn> Oh, I see <Alegis> takes a hit for someone else if he would die <Alegis> thinking of confirming another guard by having him guard the second vote getter <Burn> Hm <Burn> That'd confirm them, but it'd rob us of a kill <Alegis> apparently that works as a public seer <Alegis> I think we have kills aplenty <Burn> Even if they're guarded by another player? <Alegis> RPG, primary vote, odd day vig, headcrab vig <Burn> Okay, another public seer sounds good, then <Burn> Haha what, is the headcrab vig on our side? <Alegis> he claims neutral. experiment on x subjects, leave game, yadayada <Alegis> but he'll kill targets I point him too <Burn> Sounds like a win-win scenario Uuhhhhh Kind of sounds like we are fucked

<Alegis> thing about this game is that there are shitloads of vigs it seems and quite a couple of guards, but just one odd and one even day public seer <Alegis> but apparently the secondary vote can be used as public seer unless roleblockers come into play <Burn> How many roleblockers have contacted you? <Alegis> just ringo. there's another I know of but he didnt contact me directly, he only contacted msec <Alegis> which I find odd <Alegis> that and, I imagine the guards/vigs are kinda spread around all factions <Alegis> and this odd day roleblocker claimed BMRF <Alegis> while ringo, the even day roleblocker was already BMRF <Burn> Hm <Burn> Have the other even/odd pairs been split between BMRF and military? <Alegis> Not sure. I'll ask again what the even day guard was
Uh oh.

Sorry for the conversation spam, but this is all interesting stuff.
<Alegis> but the odd/even day seer were split <Burn> It'd make sense <Alegis> there's someone who claimed full guard but said that he wasn't sure if it would guard against RPGs and thelike <Alegis> which I find odd. It's true that the RPG can't be blocked against, but I don't think you received any info on that? <Burn> Wait, was Ringo actually a roleblocker? I though he said he was a target seer <Burn> I've seen nothing about the RPG except for what you've said about it <Alegis> he said he was a roleblocker but got confirmation that way that he didn't block anything on AF <Alegis> actually that would make him a full day roleblocker too <Alegis> instead of just odd/even <Burn> Hm <Alegis> there's also a lack of black ops kills <Alegis> just one assassination on day 1, and a wrench day 2 <Alegis> while shitloads of vigs and guards abound <Burn> Maybe some of the whole abilities are only BMRF or Military? <Alegis> the full guard claimed BMRF <Burn> The wrench narration seriously sounded like the Opposing Force hero <Burn> Has the even day vig not got in touch with you? <Alegis> the headcrab dude used to be even day but is now full day <Alegis> as well as the mason turned into a vig <Alegis> and I got an RPG. 3 extra kills <Burn> That's pretty awesome

I didn't "contact" msec once he was confirmed in the narration he asked me in irc what my roll was, couldn't very well refuse him at that point. Also alegis is trying to confirm me with the second vote. He wants to use it to test guards and to public seer. Which if he succeeds means I'm screwed. I didn't respond to his pm this morning (mainly because I was vetting ready for work. I'm not sure what our next step is this public seer bs is screwing us. If I'm going to go down anyway I'll switch my roleblock to alegis again. But if I avoid the second vote we shoul be ok

This.... this is fucking ridiculous.
Several village kills versus one for the mafia, with public seering mechanics.

Do we want to consider roleblocking whoever gets second place?

If it's Delph, yes, we do.

I was hoping somebody would vote for roman, but 3 / 5 remaining voters are our guys.
Which could be really, really bad if somebody picked up on it.

Alegis wants to switch Demurist to the secondary vote and wants me to roleblock jdarksun tonight to verify I can roleblock.
Did you claim anything to him jdark? I'm going to set my target on you tonight (since youdon't ahave an ability tonight anyways) so we'll see how this goes. Alegis wanted me to vote for demurist to put him in second and i'mnot up on current votes so hopefully this makes him second.

Any recommendations for my guard tonight? I might protect Alegis, just to keep my cover up for a bit.

I roleblocked Duna last night, but can't do anything tonight. I have no problem being straightforward with what I can do (roleblock on even nights).
If Alegis decides to RPG Delph for whatever reason tonight, it's going to look a bit bad for advent. Not a huge deal, but I'm just thinking of potential issues.

So aside from the two votes, we're looking at Alegis' RPG, the revenge killer, headcrab killer, and Rend tonight.
I fully expect at least one of us to get hit. The RPG might kill us in one hit, as well. D:
Good luck, guys.
